About Me

Overview

I have long been fascinated by Mathematics, especially in the area of Number Theory. For several years now, among other things I have studied the Sum of Factors Function (the sum of all of a number's proper divisors) and Aliquot Sequences. (Sequences of integers in which each term is the sum of the factors of the term before it) I submitted this work in several competitions, and presented it at the National Junior Science and Humanities Symposiums in Baltimore [Power Point], San Diego [Power Point] and Albequerque. [Power Point] This site contains an explanation of my work, the research papers from each year of my project, and some of the data that I generated in this study.

In spring 2010 I graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor of science in Math and Physics. As part of my degree I did original research in both of these fields in order to write a senior honors thesis. My math thesis was on the Nonnegative Inverse Eigenvalue Problem, and attempting to reformulate it in terms of polynomial matrices. A copy of my thesis explaining my results is available here.
